Cares Act

We are grateful to announce the Bais Hamedrash & Mesivta of Baltimore received HEERF funds under the CARES Act for emergency grant aid to students.  We signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.  As of June 30th, the entire $62,066 allotment under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act has been received and distributed to eligible students under the requirements.

Awarding was done based on the following methodology.  All Title IV eligible students who receive an institutional scholarship were awarded an equal share of the funds.  In total, 43 awards of $1,444 were distributed.  Upon receipt of the award, students were informed via letter that the funds were distributed to cover educational expenses due to COVID-19.

We are also grateful to announce that the Bais Hamedrash & Mesivta of Baltimore received CRRSAA and ARP funds to award additional emergency grant aid to students.
